Young children are naturally curious and passionate about learning. They learn from the infant’s stage by tasting, touching and feeling. Science includes active hands-on learning and is more than learning facts. In the outdoor world, children learn from and about nature through hands-on experiences with the plants and animals.
Children need to discover and construct ideas through trial and error and active exploration. These may include simple science experiments using white vinegar and baking soda or it may be baking a cake and then watching it rise in the oven.
Other experiences that children take part at Bambini of Lilyfield are; Looking after our Vege patches, Feeding worms in our Bambini Worm Café and putting food scraps and leaves in our compost bin among others.
